Welcome/Shalom
![]() Congregation Beth Abraham has been an active shul in the city of Buffalo since 1922. While for much of its history CBA was recognized as Orthodox, it reinvented itself as a fully egalitarian Conservative synagogue in the 90's. Over the past 10 plus years, CBA has enjoyed somewhat of a renaissance, thanks in large part to the recognition of the synagogue's commitment to making everyone who passes though its doors feel warm and welcome. In addition to regular programming and special events throughout the year, we hold bi-weekly Shabbat services and High Holiday services, led by Cantor Irwin Gelman, Thank you for visiting our website. Please know that you are always welcome to join us.
Important InformationPlease note, all on-site CBA Services and Programs are Postponed Until Further Notice: It is our priority to keep the CBA community safe and informed as new details arise about the current public health crisis. CBA Book Club Wednesday
June 17, 8:00 PM online via Zoom

Please join us on Zoom on Wednesday June 17 at 8 pm when the CBA Book Club will be meeting to discuss two short books, Unto Death by Amos Oz and The Pagan Rabbi by Cynthia Ozick. Here is a summary of Unto Death excerpted from Pakn Treger: Set in the Middle Ages, this Hebrew novella tells the story of a band of crusaders en route from France to Jerusalem. It describes the relationships between the aristocratic Christian protagonists and their brutish followers, among them a Jew whom all fear but cannot identify.
Here is a summary of The Pagan Rabbi excerpted from Prakn Treger: With this maiden collection of short stories, Cynthis Ozick introduced a new phase of American Jewish literature, of densely allusive Jewish prose and highly intricate Jewish subjects.
Please RSVP to Shelly if you plan to join us,or have any questions, To join the discussion on Zoom please click the link below.

Questions about Parking and Building Access ?

For All Events:
Please note that there are now two handicapped-only parking spaces in front of the Synagogue. Please let us know if you would like assistance with helping you from your car into the building and/or up and down the stairs. Email us at [email protected]et or call 716 435-0658
Great News!
We now have a stairlft inside the building providing access to all 3 levels, from the basement up into the sanctuary! We also plan on purchasing a ramp to make it easier to navigate the steps outside the front entrance.
Click HERE for a map with parking information. Please do not park in the Mr. Pizza or Pano's lot - we want to be a good neighbor.
