Kabbalat Shabbat Service

Conducted by

Cantor Irwin Gelman

Friday, May 18, 2012

6:30 PM

Please join us when Cantor Irwin Gelman conducts a Kabbalat Shabbat service followed by a Potluck Dinner on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 6:30 PM.

We will welcome Shabbat with music as Cantor Gelman will be joined by Marty Kerker, Damon Beiter, Ron Grossman and Cheryle Grossman in lively, foot-tapping Shabbat tephillot.  If you play an instrument (strings, winds, brass or percussion) and you would like to join in the musical  accompaniment for the service, simply contact Cantor Gelman at Cantor.Gelman@congregationbethabraham.net or Marty at mkerker@aol.com.

Everyone is encouraged to sing along and bring hand instruments such as tambourines, shakers, and drums as we share a joyful and uplifting service.

After the service please join us for a Potluck Dairy Shabbat Dinner. Please bring a dairy dish to share - no meat or shell fish and nut free. Some ideas are salads, casseroles, dips, desserts or beverages. Kindly let us know what you are bringing by sending an email to info@congregationbethabraham.net

We would greatly appreciate if you would plan on taking home any leftovers. We have no way to save food and don’t want to see such delicious dishes go to waste!

If you would like a Yahrzeit to be acknowledged at the service please email  Cantor.Gelman@congregationbethabraham.net

We hope you can join us as we celebrate Shabbat in a casual and relaxed family atmosphere in our historic synagogue. This service is open to the community so feel free to invite your friends!
